Universal Memoir
Toward a conceptual framework for understanding your relationship to the entire universe in four simple diagrams
This piece was commissioned by the New York Times for its occasional Opinionator series of memoir comics. It comprises a slightly absurdist attempt to put one’s own life into the largest of all possible contexts without losing sight of it’s deep personal meaning and importance.
A somewhat expanded version was published in Drawn and Quarterly’s 25th anniversary anthology in 2016.
